Fixed prices and high quality
Understanding dentist prices can be a challenge. Did you know that around 80% of dental treatments in Denmark have fixed prices? This means that the price is the same at all dental clinics across the country and cannot be changed by either patient or dentist. These prices are set through negotiations between the Public Health Insurance and the Danish Dental Association to protect you as a consumer.
These fixed prices cover common tooth-preserving and preventive treatments that society wants to promote to maintain a high level of general dental health. Ultimately, this is cheaper for taxpayers.

Free prices
The remaining part of the prices are free prices, which can vary from dentist to dentist. These are prices that consumers and the Danish Competition Authority want dentists to compete on. The free prices typically include restorative treatment of the tooth after a tooth-conserving treatment, such as crowns, bridges, dentures or implants. These treatments are not subsidised by the National Health Service.

Documentation for materials
We could lower prices by having crowns made in China or India, but we don’t want to do that. We trust the dental technicians in Scandinavia and their high level of education. They can document the content and quality of the materials they deliver, ensuring you the best treatment.
Investing in further education
We could also lower our prices by not further educating ourselves and our staff. But we choose to invest 80-100,000 DKK in training every year. Our focus is to deliver the highest possible competence for the benefit of our patients.
Documented treatments
We follow the National Clinical Guidelines from the Danish Health Authority, which are the basis for the Dental Agreement. These guidelines clearly state what does and does not work for dental diseases.
A frequently asked question is: âDo you use laser treatment for gum disease?â We don’t. Although laser sounds modern, the National Clinical Guidelines show that this method does not have a proven effect. We only implement new treatment methods or equipment when they are proven to be better than existing ones.
