Who may need a rehabilitation programme
If a person has multiple teeth that are weakened by cavities, they may be at risk of the teeth breaking or wearing into the nerves. This can lead to pain that can result in the loss of one or more teeth. The more teeth that are lost, the more stress is transferred to the remaining teeth. A vicious circle.
Another type of teething is people who grind their teeth, have acid reflux or a crooked bite that damages the teeth. Extreme tooth wear can also be a cosmetic nuisance and is the typical way most people realise that their teeth have worn down over time. If the front teeth are worn down, they become shorter and shorter to look at and the face slowly sags. The solution may be to build on top of all the teeth and make them taller. This is called a bite raising. It will both strengthen the teeth and make them more beautiful to look at.
