Dan and Anja are two specialists in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery with many years of surgical experience. They offer high-quality, expert-level treatments. They perform all types of diagnostic and surgical procedures in the oral cavity.
Treatment consists of surgical removal of wisdom teeth, implant treatments, root tip surgeries, small and large bone build-ups, cyst removal, mucosal surgery and biopsy for oral medical disorders, etc. According to the Danish Health Authority’s guidelines, patients undergoing antiresorptive treatment must be treated by specialised dentists, which Anja and Dan are of course fully certified for.
In addition, the Danish Health Authority has issued new recommendations regarding the removal of wisdom teeth, which is carried out by specialised dentists.
Anja and Dan’s goal is to treat patients in a familiar setting and keep the surgery ‘in house’. Experience shows that this service provides great satisfaction for all parties. They also provide great advice and sparring with the clinic’s team of therapists – a great knowledge sharing that benefits both therapists and patients.
During treatments here, you as a patient will be seen by both Anja and Dan, as they work together on the treatment of each individual patient. They assist each other and the treatments are therefore very efficient. Even though there are two specialised dentists with a patient, it is no more expensive than being referred to an external oral surgeon. We are very happy about this collaboration and that we can now offer specialised surgery.

Anja Hagensen
Anja graduated as a dentist from the University of Copenhagen in 2006. Anja became a specialised dentist in Dental, Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery from Aalborg University Hospital / Aarhus University Hospital in 2016 and has subsequently been employed at the Department of Dental, Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Zealand University Hospital.
She has also been employed from 2008 to 2011 at the TMC department at Rigshospitalet and worked at the TMC department at the University of Copenhagen. Since 2018, Anja has been responsible for the training programme at the TMC department at Copenhagen University Hospital and in 2019 she completed the national supervisor course and subsequently supervised several dentists in further training.
Anja has also provided training for nurses in the emergency department. In addition, she has been responsible for current instructions and guidelines in the department and has been part of the cancer team in Region Zealand. In addition to dental, oral and maxillofacial surgery, her speciality is jaw joints.
Dan Sebastiansen
Dan graduated as a dentist from Aarhus University in 1992 and specialised in Dental, Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Glostrup Hospital/Rigshospitalet in 2001. Since 2001, Dan has been employed full-time as a senior dentist at Rigshospitalet, Glostrup Hospital and since 2006 as a senior dentist in Region Zealand at the TMC department at Zealand University Hospital.
Dan has been responsible for education for a number of years and has been a member of the Danish Health Authority’s Education Committee. Based on this, Dan, together with the other 4 regions, has helped to develop the goal description and training plans for the speciality of Dental, Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
Since 2003, Dan has been a supervisor for several dentists in further education and since 2011 he has also been an inspector for the Danish Health Authority.
